Nyx Sparkle Green and Pure Gold Jumbo Pencils

Long story short, I bought a Nyx jumbo pencil in Pure Gold on impulse a few months ago and I fell in love with… well, everything about it, so I recently I bought another one in Sparkle Green to keep it company. I also happened to depot both of them shortly upon their purchase, which is why I don’t have a shot of both of them in pencil form, but that’s another story for another day. This post is for a review, and review I will.  Continue reading

House of Beauty Lip Hybrids

House of Beauty is a small indie brand whose products I’ve drooled over on several occasions. I really would like to start buying more from small handmade cosmetics companies, so what better place to start than this? The brand offers discounts for bulk purchases, so I hooked up with two friends to split a 12-for-$100 order of their Lip Hybrids and get each one for more or less $8. I bought Vixen, Phoenix, Hazel, and Wisteria. (Sold alone, these cost $16 each.)

Also, this is a draft I wrote quite a while ago that I’m publishing now because I haven’t posted in 4 months, which is unfortunate.  Continue reading

OCC Authentic Lip Tar

OCC recently ran an anniversary sale where the remaining stock of the OG packaging Lip Tar was marked down to a dirt cheap $3. The original packaging has a ridiculous amount of product in it and originally costed $18 in its heyday, so this was a pretty stinkin’ good deal. I grabbed Authentic and ended up paying about $6 once shipping factored into all of it. Not bad, not bad. Continue reading

Colourpop Love Life Matte X

So, gee, it’s been a hot minute since I’ve bothered to sit down and write something for this blog! If you’ve been keeping up with my Instagram, you’ll know that I’ve been very active there but I haven’t had the time or drive to actually write a detailed review. But that changes today! I bring to you Colourpop Love Life ($5) in that new and exciting Matte X formula they released a few months ago.  Continue reading

Colourpop Coconut

Finally getting around to editing and typing up a review for this gem of an eyeshadow – Colourpop Coconut! I’ve had my eye on it for a while but held off on buying it because I don’t use colorful eyeshadow very much. I finally caved when Colourpop announced it was retiring some things and I realized I didn’t know how much time this eyeshadow had left, so now I have it and I love it. Continue reading

Colourpop Haul: Brow Stuff!

Colourpop restocked its brow products on Monday, so I took the opportunity to grab myself a few new goodies for myself and my mom! I got the order in 4 days, which is the fastest they’ve ever processed and shipped something to me, so I’m impressed. I will be reviewing my portion of the order over the next few days, but for now here are some swatches of the entire haul.  Continue reading

Smashbox Hollywood & Highlight L.A. Lights Lip & Cheek Color

My mom has really wanted to get onto the strobing trend so this highlighter stick ended up being a bit of an impulse buy from Ulta. I wanted to give it a try since I’ve only tried one highlighter in my life and it’s not nearly as light as this one, so I borrowed it (with permission!) to swatch and put up on the blog for the reference of all ye medium skinned folk out there.  Continue reading

Natural Rose Gold EOTD

This isn’t very impressive buuuuuuuuuuut I mean I haven’t posted in an obscenely long time and everyone likes natural eye makeup so here we are. And my eyebrows were really, really good today because I had like half an hour to burn doing them. Ooooooooh yeah. Look at that. I feel so Instagram-model-like right now. And my camera got really good pictures today. Today was such a good makeup day, wow. Amazing.  Continue reading

Hard Candy Daffodil Velvet Mousse Lipstick

Long time no post! Between being extremely busy and trying to be on as much of a no-buy as I can muster, I haven’t really had much of a reason to post here for a few weeks. Anyways, I’ve been pretty taken with the concept of Hard Candy’s new liquid lipstick line, so  today I finally caved and got the color Daffodil. For $6 you get a pretty decent amount of product and and adorable tin to boot, so I didn’t hesitate to put my no-buy on hold for a few minutes!  Continue reading
